Etymologisch abgeleitet von `zuhören´, französisch escouter, lateinisch auscultō, auscultare.\\ Heute meist im Sinne von Pfadfinder, ursprünglich eher ein [[wiki:waldlaeufer|Waldläufer]], militärisch (engl.) //[[wiki:on-foot_recce|Reconnaissance]]// (kurz: recce, recon).
